Paintless Dent Repair method one:
The leverage Method.
The first method is to leverage or massage the metal from behind the surface. Access to the back of the panel is achieved in different ways depending on the location of the dent. For example: A dent in a door is usually repaired by gaining access through the window channel with the window rolled down. A protective shield is used along with a window wedge to safely insert the tool behind the panel to remove the dent. Many door dings are removed in this manner and does not require the removal of any inner panels. The advantage to this process is the ability to fine tune the damaged area and is the preferred choice in most cases. The disadvantage is that some areas are not accessible with this method, notably areas of metal that have an extra reinforcement layer (example: many hoods near the latch area).
